Ronnie BarkofskeRonald “Ronnie” Barkofske, 88, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House with his loving family by his side.  Ronnie was born July 26, 1933 to Fred and Kathleen (Brady) Barkofske in Kansas City, MO.

Ronnie is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict.

Ronnie enjoyed starting his day at the local YMCA to exercise and later take his walks thru the beautiful parks in Parkville, MO.  He enjoyed fishing and traveling.  He never met a stranger in his life. Lori OakleyLori Ann Oakley, 44, of Parkville, MO passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2021, at the St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza.  She was born December 15, 1977 in Independence, MO to Donald D. and Paula K. (Staihr) Macy.

Lori graduated from Park Hill High School in 1996 and earned a BS in Interior Design from Park University.  Her true passion was being around people and serving others.  She was a fan favorite at Nick and Jakes in Parkville, where she worked for several years and developed friendships and relationships with her customers. Milo Bernard Stallman, 89, a resident of Eastern Jackson County, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home.  He was born February 2, 1932 in Wein, MO to William and Cecelia (Haupert) Stallman.

Milo graduated in 1950 from St. Mary’s High School in Independence, MO.  Following graduation, he served his country proudly in the United States Army.  In 1958 Milo, his brother, and a friend started Santa Fe Glass in Independence, MO and co-owned and operated the company until his retirement in 1994.  [Read more…]

Gregg Clizer, aged 62, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 18, 1959, in St. Joseph Missouri to Herb and Norma Clizer.  Gregg grew up on the family farm in Savannah Missouri and attended Savannah High School where he was an active member of the marching band, the local 4H, and the Methodist Youth Fellowship. After graduating high school, he followed in his parents’ footsteps and attended the University of Missouri, Columbia. Gregg joined Marching Mizzou and remained with the band for four years. Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
