Nicholas “Nick” Jackalone

Nicholas Claude Jackalone, affectionately known as Papa-Son, was born October 26, 1934 in Kansas City, KS to Nicholas Jackalone and Vivian (Farmer) Jackalone.  He was welcomed to his heavenly home June 30, 2020.  He was a dedicated and patient father who was there for every moment in his family.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy (Dora) outside of Milwaukee, WI and Thomas (Patty) outside of Tulsa, OK.   Papa-Son was a loving grandfather to Christy, Tommy, Jimmy, and Silvana.  He is also blessed with four great grandchildren:  Sebastian, Ethan, Jake, and Sophia.  And his loving wife of ten years, Jan Jackalone. Edmund Carl Fredland, 78, a resident of Grain Valley, MO passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at his home.  Edmund was born September 9, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Lowell and Eve (Budris) Fredland.

Edmund received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL and obtained his Masters of Business degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  [Read more…]

Roger Wayne Mossman, 83, of Kansas City, MO, went to be with his Lord on June 28, 2020. Wayne was born on January 26, 1937, in Coshocton, OH to Edwin Dale and Georgia (Ricketts) Mossman. Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Ruth Evelyn (Stocker) Mossman whom he married on January 26, 1958. [Read more…]

Marilyn McGee

Marilyn J. McGee, 81, died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit, MO.  She was born November 12, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Sells Gaignat.

Marilyn had worked for over 30 years for Operating Engineers Union Local #101, in both the Funds and Benefits Department and the Main Operating Offices, she had later worked and retired from Liberty Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist in the Cardiac Catheterization Department.  After retirement Marilyn enjoyed all kinds of crafting, including, ceramics, flower arranging, and wreath making.  She was of the Catholic Faith. John Spencer

John Charles Spencer, 68, a Life-long Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the North Kansas City Hospital.  He was born January 23, 1952 in Kansas City to Bill and Mildred (Honeycutt) Spencer.

John graduated from Oak Park High School and spent the majority of his working career as an accountant for the former Sentinel Federal Savings and Loan Association of Kansas City. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling with Linda, especially trips to Branson, MO and Lake of the Ozarks.  A handy man, John also enjoyed tinkering around the house and working on cars and all sorts of motorized  vehicles.  Family was important to John, and he cherished time with his family. Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
