Margie Mary Lewis, 78, a resident of Independence, MO passed away peacefully May 31, 2020 at her home.  She was born October 21, 1941 in Marshalltown, IA to Earl Sr. and Opal (Sankey) Cronk.

Margie was united in marriage to Charles Lewis on November 19, 1975 in Jackson County Missouri.  She was Christian by faith.  Margie enjoyed drawing, listening to country music, and dancing.  She also liked to watch all shows related to animals and deer hunting, and the outdoors.  Margie enjoyed spending holidays and as much time as possible with her family. Delores J. Snodgrass, 74, a long-time resident of Kansas City, KS passed away peacefully on May 30, 2020.  She was born January 20, 1946 in Wichita, KS to Clifford and Alta Maxine (Close) Alcorn.

Delores graduated from the former Argentine High School and took several college classes.  She started out working for Colgate-Palmolive in Kansas City, KS prior to taking a job at Southwestern Bell.  Delores was with Southwestern Bell and later AT&T, where she retired after 45 years of service.  In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, going to the movies and out to dinner, watching older movies and westerns, especially John Wayne movies.  Delores also enjoyed spending time with her friends and was active in her neighborhood and community.  She always looked forward to volunteering at various soup kitchens around the holidays.  She will be dearly missed.

Family was most important to her.  She married Norman “Lee” Snodgrass on December 23, 1974 in Kansas City, KS. [Read more…]

James Leslie Lemen, 77, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his home. He was born October 27, 1942 in Blackburn, MO to Charles and Dorthy (Koch) Lemen.

James entered the United States Marines on May 29, 1961 and served his country proudly until his departure from the military on May 28, 1965. He was united in marriage to Jaunetta Calhoun on June 25, 1977 in Sedalia, MO. James worked at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for several years. While there he held several positions such as a packer, security guard, gunner and tool operator. James was Christian by faith. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. [Read more…]
