Karen Lea Watson, 72, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully with her two sons by her side on March 31, 2020. She was born on June 17, 1947 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of William and Vella Mae Sandstedt.
Karen graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and spent the majority of her hard working career with Braniff Airlines and Sprint. The best mother and grandmother anyone could have, family was most important to her. Her love for her sons was unconditional. Donald Feagans
Donald Eugene Feagans, 71, of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his home. He was born November 9, 1948 to Carl and Winona (Washburn) Feagans in Grain Valley
Donald graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1967. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Casteel on November 29th in Grain Valley. Donald worked as a bridge Superintendent for APAC-Wilkerson-Maxwell Company, a heavy highway company. He was a former member of the Carenters Union Local 61. Donald enjoyed Model T cars, antiques, Juke boxes and tools. He also loves watching any NFL football including his KC Chiefs, the KC Royals, and movies especially Hallmark movies. [Read more…]
Carolyn Brown
Carolyn M. Cusumano Brown ,68, of Blue Springs Missouri departed this life and entered her heavenly home on March 29, 2020 at KC Hospice Care Center in Kansas City, MO.
She was born in November 1951 to Jasper and Frances Cusumano in Kansas City, MO, joining a brother Larry Cusumano. Her parents divorced, and her mother later remarried giving birth to her sister, Shelley Brennecke.
She lived with her brother and sister-in-law in Raytown, MO for a few years, attended and graduated from Raytown High School in 1970. While attending Raytown High School she met her future husband and light of her life, Robert (Bob) Brown. [Read more…]
Donna Richmond
Donna Irene Richmond, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2020, in Tampa, Florida. Donna, who was a former resident of Independence, Missouri, had recently made her home with her daughter Megan Willard and son-in-law, Brad Willard in Riverview, Fl.
Donna was born to Donald and Mary Kathryn (Spencer) Richmond in Maryville, MO on October 25, 1949. Being the daughter of a school superintendent, Donna lived in many towns in northwest Missouri including Filmore, Rosendale, Jamesport, Burlington Junction and Kansas City, Missouri. These Missouri hometowns gave Donna her love of country and the people of northwest Missouri.
After graduation from Center High School in Kansas City, MO, Donna graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Her major was social science and history. She was also an active member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, Phi Phi chapter. Donna was a huge NWMSU Bearcat fan. Her closet was full of Bearcat t-shirts, hoodies, and hats. Many great weekends were spent using her season ticket to see games with friends. Nothing made her day more than reliving the games, spending time with her family and friends and doting over her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed getting involved in a spirited political debate and the discussing American history.
Donna retired as Director of Career Services Concorde Career Institute after her father died. She spent the next nine years caring for her mother. Together they traveled to visit family and friends in several states, explored Arizona for two months one winter and made many special memories together.
Donna was a compassionate and loving mother, daughter, and grandmother. She was dedicated to her daughter, her grandsons, and her great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Megan (Brad) Willard of Riverview, Fl, grandsons Carl Joseph, Dylan Lee, Colton Michael, and Dalton William Gurera; great grandchildren Paul, Maggie, and Elizabeth Gurera; brother John Richmond (Mary). Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Susan Duvenick.
Donna was cremated as per her wishes. Due to the COVID – 19 Pandemic, her family has chosen a celebration of her life to be held later. Barbara Bishop
Barbara Ann Bishop, 79, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was born September 1, 1940 in Clinton, MO to Samuel and Rosie (Hixson) Caldwell.
Barbara graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. She worked at Hallmark Cards as a file clerk and on the assembly line before staying home to raise her children. She was united in marriage to Paul Bishop on February 26, 1965 in Kansas City, MO. Barbara was Christian by faith. She enjoyed cross stitching, watching Jeopardy, and watching nature.
