Jimmy Dean Reed, 64, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away August 31, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday September 7^th at Meyers Blue Springs Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Veterans Community Project in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jimmy retired from Dun Par Construction Company in 2009, after 32 years of service. He truly loved riding his Harley, and everything including Harley Davidson. Jimmy was a graduate of Blue Springs High School, where he was very involved in their wrestling program, attaining 2^nd place is the 126 pound weight class in the state of Missouri. [Read more…]

Thomas Joseph Swope, 56, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.  He was born April 10, 1963 in Kansas City, MO to Clay Jr. and Donna (Culbertson) Swope.

Thomas graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1981.  He worked as realtor and contractor remodeling homes for several years.  Thomas was Christian by faith.  He was a huge sports fan, and enjoyed attending the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs games.  Thomas also had a love for golfing. Edward Eugene Davidson, 92, a resident of Lake Lotawana, MO passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. He was born February 2, 1927 in Independence, MO to Frank and Ruth Davidson.

Edward owned and operated his own roofing business in the Kansas City metro area. He was united in marriage to Bernadine Johnson on August 25, 1995 in Olathe, KS. Edward was Baptist by faith. He was a self-made musician, teaching himself how to play the Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar, and harmonica. Edward enjoyed tinkering, playing music, playing billiards, boating and gardening. [Read more…]

Tamera Lynn Rainey, 57, a resident of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her home.  She was born April 1, 1962 in Topeka, KS to Robert and Judith (Kenny) Rainey.

Tamera was a loving mother, who enjoyed being in the outdoors, sunbathing and swimming.  She also had a passion for doing hair. [Read more…]

Richard Eric Geiser, 62, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. He was born April 25, 1957 in Binghamton, NY to Alan and Helen (Hutchison) Geiser.

Rick served his country proudly in the United States Army.  He worked in the human resource department for GEHA an insurance company for several years. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Riddle on April 9, 2011 in Independence, MO.  Rick enjoyed golfing, playing cards, the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, New York Islanders, and Mizzou.
