Wanda M. Kingery, 88, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Monterey Park Nursing Home in Independence, MO. She was born in 1930 to Russell Sellars and Thelma (Hinch) Miller. She married William (Bill) Kingery on April 10, 1949.  Wanda’s husband Bill preceded her in death in 2000. Her great granddaughter Hannah Tharp also preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by one daughter Beverly Swartwood (Rich) of Blue Springs, MO. Other survivors are grandson Craig Tharp (Rhonda) and 3 great grandchildren Brett, Haley and Lily all of Lee’s Summit, MO. [Read more…]

Steven W. Parsons, 27 of Independence, MO who’s life was cut short July 28, 2019.  Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, August 7, 2019 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Blue Springs, MO. Lisa Goodman, at the young age of 57 was welcomed into heaven on July 27th 2019.

Lisa attended school in Knob Noster, Missouri and Warrensburg, Missouri where she graduated.

She had been employed by Lafayette County Enterprises in Higginsville Missouri before moving to Kansas City. Lisa took great pride in her job.

She was a breast cancer survivor. Lisa overcame many obstacles in her life with an admired strength. Lisa had a very close relationship with her Mother, as well as tremendous support and love from her. [Read more…]

Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Hankins, 62, passed away at her home in Blue Springs, MO July 27, 2019 surrounded in love by her family.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2019 at First Christian Church of Blue Springs with the Rev. Cliff Caton officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday August 2, 2019 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Blue Springs, MO.  Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery.
