Petty officer James Kenison Russell, III., US Navy, 22, of Smithville, MO formerly of Parkville, MO passed away May 31, 2018 from injuries sustained in an accident in Parkville. James was born February 23, 1996 to James Kenison and Mikel (Gramlich) Russell, Jr.
Steven Terry Sellon, 74, of Warrensburg, MO formerly of Atchison, KS passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. He was born on July 11, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Charles and Lillian (May) Sellon. Steven was also a longtime resident at the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in Peculiar, MO.
Steven served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, playing the trombone, Uno, going to the casino, his dogs, Smokey, Happy, and Boomer. [Read more…]
Sharon Kay Pike, 70, of Smithville, MO formerly of the Parkville area passed away May 26, 2018, at the Liberty Hospital. She was born September 26, 1947 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Robert and Lorene (Eberts) Beech.
Sharon was a devoted wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She spent the majority of her working years as a school bus driver and secretary for the family business, Good Times Auto Body in Parkville. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino, riding her motorcycle, raising her pugs and spending time with her family. “Granny” will be missed by all who knew her.

Herman Eldon McFee, 80, a resident of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. He was born on July 12, 1937 in Albany, MO to Herman and Helen (Green) McFee.
Eldon was united in marriage to Joy Cech on June 8, 1956 in Cameron, MO. He was self-employed starting two businesses Eldon and Sons Guttering and Insulation and JE and S Roofing. He was a long time member of the First Assembly of God in Lee’s Summit, MO and most recently a member of Pebble Creek Assembly of God in Kansas City, MO. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
