Barbara RaynorBarbara Jean Raynor, 75, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  She was born June 20, 1942 in Kansas City, MO and adopted at birth by Bernard and Gladys (Mulligan) Raynor.

Barbara spent the majority of her working career in book keeping for Halls, Crown Center in Kansas City.  She was a faithful Catholic and offered her time as a volunteer to The United Way.  Barbara enjoyed music, learning through reading, was fascinated by trains, and spent her happiest times traveling and laughing with those she loved.   [Read more…]

Brandie GonzalezBrandie Sue Gonzalez, 42, a resident of Grain Valley passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  She was born February 20, 1975 in Independence, MO to Ivan Walker and Margaret (Gladbach) Walker.

Brandie was united in marriage to Juan Gonzalez on February 21, 2001 in Blue Springs, MO. She worked as a bus driver for the Grain Valley School District. Brandie was an avid Kansas City Royals fan. She enjoyed baking cakes, fishing, and animals, especially cats. Brandie volunteered her time with the Special Olympics and teaching Religious Education classes at St. John LaLande Parish. Paul T. Roell, 79, a resident of Addison, PA (formerly of Pittsburgh, PA) passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at his son’s home in Kansas City, MO.  Paul was born July 27, 1938 to George and Mary (Brickell) Roell in Pittsburgh, PA.

He enjoyed building furniture for his family; including several infant cradles for his daughter-in-law, nieces and nephews. Paul always loved working on his Hot Rods; he enjoyed watching all types of auto racing, including NASCAR, as well as boating, skiing and fishing. [Read more…]

Robert C. Medill, 99, a Northland resident of Kansas City, Missouri passed away January 28, 2018. Memorial services are pending.

Robert was a proud United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II, who served as a staff sergeant and crew chief for aircraft operations on several missions throughout Europe. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice, 2 sisters, Sally, Margaret, and his son, Robert. Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
