David Michael Johnson

David Johnson, 61, a resident of Mission, KS passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 with his loving family by his side.  David was born September 9, 1955 to Donald G. and Ann (Ralston) Johnson in Kansas City, MO.

At the age of 17 David joined the United States Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam Era.  He returned home where he starting working as an Over the Road Truck Driver.  This is how he met his best friend, Gale Swenson and was later united in marriage on October 28, 1994 in Miami, OK. George Lewis Hendricks, 81, a resident of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home.  He was born to Robert and Ethel (Beard) Hendricks on December 4, 1935 in Kansas City, MO.

Survivors include children, Terri Pettyjohn (Mike) of Farmington, NM, Pamela Green of Kansas City, MO, David Hendricks of Osceola, MO; sisters, Charlene and Rosemary; grandchildren, Derek, Jami, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Michael, Jennifer, Kimberlee; 16 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Hendricks; son, Gary Hendricks; siblings, Bobby, Olive, Juanita.

Melanie ScherffMelanie Louise Scherff, 39, of Blue Springs, MO passed away suddenly Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born June 8, 1977 to Richard and Christine (Haynes) Sonnenberg in Shawano, WI.

Melanie was united in marriage to Kristopher Scherff on October 27, 2001 in Independence, MO. She was a stay at home mother who loved her children dearly. Melanie enjoyed cooking, but her family was always her top priority. [Read more…]

Edward P. Schaeffer

Edward Philippe Schaeffer, 59, of Kansas City, MO. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 28, 2017 after bravely fighting cancer for thirteen months. He was born in Kansas City on April 25, 1958 to Barbara (Krug) Schaeffer and Robert F. Schaeffer. He grew up in Kansas City, graduated from Park Hill High School, and attended UMKC and Maple Woods and Penn Valley Community Colleges. As a young person, he worked for several car dealerships in Kansas City, and after a brief stint in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, returned to the metro area in the early 80s to purchase Northtown Skelly Service and transform it into Northtown Auto Clinic in North Kansas City, MO. In addition to being an ASE-master certified mechanic and running his business, Ed served in industry leadership positions for the KC Automotive Service Association; sat on advisory boards for automotive technology programs for the Ft. Osage and North Kansas City School Districts, and mentored and consulted for and with repair shop owners and mechanics across KC. [Read more…]

Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
