Husband, father, grandfather. Detective, mentor, teacher, storyteller. Gorilla, Taco, bad comedian. These are just a few of the words that describe Raymond Gilbert Vasquez, Jr., who passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Born on June 28, 1947, to Ramón and Angela (Cardona) Vazquez, he lived his early years in The Bronx and Brooklyn, New York. Being a city boy helped him win the heart of his love, Kathryn Margueritte Lowe, whom he wed April 27, 1968. He served his country during the Vietnam Era in the US Air Force as a firefighter. McPherson, 80, of Kansas City, MO, will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64152.   The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., prior to the Mass.  A committal service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Pender, NE.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Therese Church or Harvesters and may be left in care of the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville.

Daniel Wehner

Daniel Michael Wehner, 64, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO died January 31, 2017, at the NorthCare Hospice House.  He was born April 8, 1952 in Dayton, OH to Richard and Lillian (Ostrowski) Wehner.

Richard Robert Hugill Sr., 87, of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.  He was born August 26, 1929 to Henry and Matilda (Krebs) Hugill in Kenosha Co, WI.

Richard was united in marriage to Margaret Smith on July 16, 1946 in Kansas City, MO.  He worked several years for Botsford Ready Mix as a heavy equipment operator before retiring in 1992.  Richard was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 101 in Kansas City, MO.  He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, fishing and playing pool.  [Read more…]

Arch “Bruce” Cole, 89, took his peaceful journey to Heaven on January 28, 2017, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cameron, MO.  He was born January 30, 1927 in McDonald, KS to Arch Bert and Electa (Blakely) Cole.

Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
