Athal “Ben” W. Shrout, 95, a life-long resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, December 30, 2017. He was born August 17, 1922 to J.D. and Marie (Stayton) Shrout in Blue Springs, MO.
Ben was an owner/operator, hauling heavy equipment for two generations of the White Tractor Parts family business. Since he was eight years old Ben wanted to be a professional trucker and he logged over 3 million safe driving miles in the job that he loved. Gerye Burson, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on December 29, 2017 peacefully in his home at the age of 84. Born in Carthage, MO on December 3, 1933 he was the son of John O. and Nellie (Willis) Burson.
Joseph F. Rozell, 90, of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully in his home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the St. John LaLande Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. A visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00.
