Louise Hazel Wolf, 88, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.   Louise was born November 20, 1928 in Halfway, MO to Jim and Beaulah (Lambeth) Ankrom.

A Celebration of Life service will be private. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Halfway, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested  to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Tony and Richard Overcash.  Survived by her children: David Overcash, Diana Overcash; two granddaughters: Bobbi Lynn and Angie DuCoulombier; five great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.  Memories of Louise and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com

Editha Linam, 92, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Editha was born November 30, 1923 to Elisabeth Schretter in Radenthein, Austria.

Editha was united in marriage with Jack Larry Linam in Vienna, Austria on October 4, 1949. [Read more…]

Etienne  “A.J.” Mathurin, Jr., 23, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2016.

A funeral service celebrating A.J.’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. December 10, 2016, at the Harmony Vineyard Church, 600 NE 46th St., Kansas City, MO 64116.  The family will receive friends from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.  Burial will follow at the East Slope Cemetery, Riverside, MO.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the A.J. Mathurin Memorial Fund in care of Edna Augustin.  The Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville has been entrusted with the final arrangements.

James M. “Monty” Raine, III, 68, a resident of Parkville, MO passed away November 26, 2016, at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.  He was born May 24, 1948 in Morgantown, WV to James M. and Pearl H. (Forbes) Raine, Jr.

Monty graduated from Seneca High School in Louisville, KY and earned a BA in Political Science from Kentucky Wesleyan.  He worked several years in food service, then air freight auditing before starting his own advertising business.  Monty was very active in the Boy Scouts, especially the Order of the Arrow.  He was a member of [Read more…]
