Raymond L. Haller, 90, a Blue Springs resident, passed September 28, 2015, surround by loved ones. He was born November 2, 1924 to Steven and Katie (Scherer) Haller in Lee’s Summit. On April 13, 1947 he married the love of his life, Ernestine Quinn. Raymond served in the US Marine Corps, was a member of American Legion Post #499 for over 50 years, VFW #3118, and Simpson Hoggett Marine Corps League. [Read more…]

Joyce Josephine “JoJo” Steiner McBroom, 71, of Lake Waukomis, Mo., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, after several wonderful weeks at home with Ronnie and visiting with family and friends during her illness. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO. 64152. H.L. Tom Stregles born December 7, 1923 Sylvania, Georgia. Grew up in Savannah, Georgia. Enlisted in the US Navy May 15, 1941 – discharged June 3rd 1944. Worked as a Signalman on USS McCawley.
