Robert H. Mueller, 92, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Blue Springs, MO. Bob was born May 22, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Henry and Ann (Anderson) Mueller. He served his country during World War II in the U. S. Navy. On September 25, 1953 he was united in marriage to Helen Earlene (Cox) Mueller, and she survives at the home. Theresa Elaine Marquis of Gladstone, Mo passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her home. She was born December 27, 1954 in Kansas City Mo to Joseph and Linda (Gladden) Pearson. Theresa was a graduate of Raytown South High School. On September 12, 1993 she was united in marriage to Preston Marquis and he survives at the home. She was retired for the U. S. Lenora Robbins, 64, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Blue Springs, MO. She was born July 19, 1950 in Atchison, KS to Walter and Lenora (Garrison) Smith. On June 20, 1976 she was united in marriage to Tom Robbins and he survives at the home. She received her Master’s Degree in Science and Education plus additional courses in Curriculum Development working towards a PHD at the University of Central Missouri, and was a high school teacher at Paseo High School. Catherine Grantham Bird passed away peacefully on February 20, 2015, surrounded by her family. She lived 90 wonderful years, and will be missed by many.
Born July 26, 1924, in Itta Bena, Mississippi to John Thomas Grantham and Mary Lillian Ray, Catherine grew up on Ashland Plantation in Anguilla, Mississippi, with her sister, Mary Ray (Grantham) Mims, and her three brothers, Paul, Sam, and J.T., Jr. Grantham, all of whom predeceased her. Derrek Buttron
Derrek Alan Buttron, 45, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, with his family by his side. He was born November 3, 1969, in Kansas City, KS to Jerry and Sonja (Gigstad) Buttron. Derrek graduated from Park Hill High School in 1988 and earned his BA in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Missouri State University.
Derrek’s greatest love was his family. He was a member of the Platte Woods United Methodist Church and was proud to be an Eagle Scout from Troop 314 and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Derrek held a private pilots license and enjoyed flying. Computers were his passion, both at work and at home. [Read more…]
