Zelpha Mae Cunningham, 90, a Pleasant Hill resident passed away December 21, 2012 at her residence. She was born on September 22, 1922 to Thelbert A. and Mabel (Markle) Lynn in Grove OK.
Zelpha worked as a switchboard operator, at the Locke Stove Company in Kansas City, MO the majority of her working life. She was a member of the Coleman Baptist Church in Peculiar, MO. Zelpha was a PBX member as well as in the United Commercial Travelers (UCT) Club. She enjoyed bowling and making quilts. Zelpha was a wonderful mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Zelpha is Survived by her daughters Carol Willis (Harry) of Pleasant Hill, MO; Virginia Mae Hamer of Pleasant Hill, MO; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Cunningham; sister Marie Wilkerson; brothers Charles Lynn, James Lynn, Gerald Lynn; grandson David Bookout.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, MO with the Pastor Bud McCleskey officiating. Final arrangements have been entrusted with the Meyers Funeral Chapel 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions to help defray funeral expenses. Jerry was born June 8, 1928, in Richmond, IN, to Bernard Joseph and Leona (Kelagher) Maag. He attended high school at St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana and continued his education at Donnelly College in Kansas City, KS.
