Reba M. Meyers, 90, a resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born July 5, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Riley T. and Della E. (Wilson) Vaughn.
Reba married the love of her life Johnny Meyers on December 4, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. She worked in the cafeteria for the Kansas City Missouri School District for several years. Reba was a member of the Friendly Assembly of God Church in Kansas City, MO. She enjoyed reading the Bible, leading the song service at church, crocheting, writing poetry, and sewing. Reba cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. Reba loved going to church and loved Jesus.
Jerry Donald Armstrong Sr., 76, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born September 29, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Albert D. and Gertrude (Orlann) Armstrong.
Jerry was united in marriage to Bonnie Horton in Independence, MO. He worked as a foreman for Sheet Metal Local #2 for 35 years in Kansas City, MO. Jerry was Presbyterian by faith and was a member of the American Legion Post 499 and Sheet Metal Union. He enjoyed playing poker, bowling, fishing, and golfing. Jerry was instrumental in developing one of the best youth baseball leagues in the metro, he also coached American Legion Baseball in Blue Springs from 1975 to 2005. [Read more…]
