James Edgar Choplin, 65, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Oak Grove on February 22, 2018. He was born on October 26, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to James L. and Eunice R. (Lemen) Choplin of Blue Springs.
Ed graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1971. He was a member of the National Honor Society, played the clarinet in the Wildcat Marching Band and was a member of the Business, Science and Math Clubs. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years and briefly attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He was proud to have served as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force in Texas and then in the Reserves at the Richards-Gebaur AFB in Grandview until his honorable discharge in 1978. In 1976 he was married to Sherry Talley of Blue Springs, and they were together for 32 years. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Stephanie Ellen, in May 1979. [Read more…]

Sharon Renee Campbell, 63, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away February 18, 2018. Memorial services are pending Saturday March 24th in New Albany, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org) or Cancer Action (canceractionkc.org).

Thomas Ross Caponetto, 59, an Independence, MO resident passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home. He was born July 23, 1958 in Kansas City, MO and was adopted by Thomas and Betty (Langford) Caponetto.
Thomas was united in marriage to Julie Reed on August 22, 1992 in Lindsay, NE. He was self-employed and worked out of his home in clothing sales. Thomas was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed golfing, watching old cowboy and war movies, playing with his cat “Master” and spending the time to make his car look good.
