Ethel M. Oliphant, 83, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Monterey Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Independence, MO. She was born July 28, 1933 to Lee and Grace (Embury) Grauf in Plattsmouth, NE.
Ethel was united in marriage to Bill Oliphant in 1951 and they shared 59 years together. She worked as an office manager at Gott-Rubbermaid for 20 years. Ethel was formerly a member of the First Christian Church of Plattsmouth, NE. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, and spending time with her family.
Patrick James Buckley, 33, of Raytown, MO passed away unexpectedly May 2, 2017. He was born June 9, 1983 to Fredrick Jr. and Susan (Crowson) Buckley in Independence, MO.
Patrick had an infectious laugh and smile. He was as kind-hearted as they come, and never knew a stranger. An amazing son, brother, and friend. Words cannot describe his personality. H.H. “Dusty” Rhoads, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, MO. He was born to Howard and Lovell (Todd) Rhoads on January 19, 1930 in Clinton, MO.
Dusty was united in marriage to Barbara Fairbanks on July 19, 1952 in Harrison, AR. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Dusty worked in the insurance industry as a claims manager. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing gin rummy at the Elks Lodge #2509 in Blue Springs, MO.
