Lowell James Leeds, 71, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 11th. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday April 20th at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Lowell was born June 29th, 1946 in Cherokee, Iowa to Clayton and Mabel Leeds. He served several years in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After the military, he worked as a mechanic. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything. He also enjoyed fishing, and would never turn down an opportunity to spend the day catching fish.
Throughout his life, Lowell was known for his selflessness and giving spirit. When called on, he would drop everything to help others. He always put others before himself and set an example for those around him to do the same. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything, and would do anything for them. His generosity will live on through those whose lives he touched.
In Lowell’s honor, memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans are suggested. On line condolences may be left at Meyersfuneralchapel.com.
