Molly Ann Weathers Coole, 88, of Fairway, KS passed away January 9, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born June 30, 1929 in Boonville, MO to Lawson and Ella Weathers.
Molly graduated high school in Boonville and graduated from Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO, where she earned a B.A. in Business. She spent her working years as an educator and mother. She was a member of the National Education Association. In her younger years, she played a very active roll in her children’s education and personal lives. Molly was the best mom in the world and spent several years as both a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. In her spare time she enjoyed being with her family and traveling all over the world with her husband. She was proud to have made it to all 50 states. She was happy to have helped her children and husband visit all 50 states also. She and Tom played a lot of bridge and she was on several bowling leagues in her younger years.
She married Thomas H. Coole on July 23, 1960. In addition to Tom, survivors include two children, Molly Susan Spann and husband, Mark of Kansas City, MO and Thomas W. Coole and wife, Jacqueline of Overland Park, KS; three grandchildren, Matthew J. Coole, Madeline R. Coole and Thomas C. Coole. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barcia “Bartie” Bremer and an infant daughter, Barbara Ellen Coole.
A memorial service celebrating Molly’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Lenexa United Methodist Church, 9138 Caenen Lake Rd., Lenexa, KS 66215. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice House or Wayside Waifs. The Meyers Funeral Chapel in Parkville has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
