The Rev. Jon Egger, of Kanas City, MO, was born in the Virginia, MN Municipal Hospital June 13, 1958. He died after a long fight against chronic pain that comes with systematic sarcoidosis and early-onset dementia. Egger agreed fully with another fellow from northeastern Minnesota named Bob Dylan, who once wrote, “I have no fond memories up beyond those Lake Superior hills.” Egger never felt at home in the small towns of his youth. He felt much more comfortable in cities; the bigger, the better.
Egger spent what he called “the first half” of his life as an RN. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from the Hibbing, MN Community College.
