Harlin G. “Jerry” Powell, 70, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 with his wife, Mary by his side. Harlin was born January 4, 1947 to Harlin L. and Roxie (Sisney) Powell in Gainesville, MO.
His hobbies were fishing, gardening, good-food, traveling and restoring classic cars. Jerry retired from Good Times Auto Body in Parkville, MO after 28 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by both parents and four brothers: Danny, Bobby, Jerry and Larry. Survived by his wife, Mary; five children: Kimberly Smith (David) KCMO (North); Lisa Fiorino (Mark) KCMO (North); Jack Powell (Kristin) KCMO (North); Shawna Guevara (Jimmy) of Gladstone, MO; and Bill Cai of KCMO (North); six siblings: Johnny May of Mena, AR; Marie Van Wyk of Marshfield, MO; Kay Doczekalski of Orlando, FL; Wanda Elder of Lee’s Summit, MO; Shirley Lintner of Weston, MO; Sandra Allison of Carthage, NY; nine grandchildren: Megan, Michael, Myranda, Patrick, Saryn, Brennan, Lauren, Dexter and Emma; one great-grandson, Zane.
A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. Memorial Contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice. Memories of Jerry and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com
