Leila Faye Keith, 80, passed into eternity on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Leila was born on September 6, 1937 to William Glenn and Violet Grace Jordan. She was a graduate of Wheatland High School in 1955. Leila married Harold Curtis Keith September 11, 1955 and they were married 62 years. Leila was a charter member of Country Meadows Baptist Church where she served countless years in Children’s Ministry as a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. Leila’s hobbies were shopping, going to garage sales and collecting “Precious Moments” Figurines. She was known for her faithful prayers and encouraging cards that she sent to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Glen and Violet Grace Jordan. Her infant twin sister, Leta Jordan; Her brothers, Shandy Jordan & Argus (Butch) Jordan; her brother and sister in-laws, Orlie and (Ruth) Keith; her niece, Anita Jordan and nephew, Robert Keith.
She is survived by her Husband Harold C. Keith, of Independence, MO; Her son Stanley (DeAnna) Keith and grandson, Nicholas Keith all of Lee’s Summit, MO; Her sisters Glenda (George) Martin of Cowgill, MO and Sharon (Kennith) Sutt of Independence, MO; Sister in-law, Shirley Jordan of Clinton, MO; Brother & sister-in-law, Byron and Arvella Keith of Lee’s Summit, MO and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Country Meadows Baptist Church, 4901 Lee’s Summit Rd. Kansas City, MO. Service celebrating Leila’s life will follow at 7:00 p.m., at the church. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Payne Cemetery in Polk, MO. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Country Meadows Baptist Church or John Knox Village Hospice.
