Richard Henry Davis, 79, of Climax Springs, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, August 6, 2017. He was born May 2, 1938 in St. Joseph, MO to Cal Henry and Pauline (Uphoff) Davis.
Richard was united in marriage to Betty on March 1, 1956 in Kansas City, MO. He worked as a park ranger for Jackson County as well as working in sales for various companies throughout the years including Maybelline, and M&M-Mars Inc. Richard was a member of Knight of Columbus in Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed vacationing, and the years they lived in Las Vegas, NV. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Debby Shores (Donnie) of Independence, MO, Liz Hightower (Jeff) of Blue Springs, MO; son, Phillip Davis (Luemma) of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Michelle, Sarah, Phillip Jr., Johnny, Jennifer, Jacob; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Davis; son, Richard Henry “Dickie” Davis Jr.; parents, Cal Henry and Pauline Davis.
A committal service with full military honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
