Hazel Lee Wallace, 84, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Monday, May 8th, 2017 at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Hazel was born February 26th, 1933 in Chariton, MO to James and Regina Howard. Hazel was brought up with several siblings who enjoyed a life full of music, dancing and love. Hazel married Wayne E. Wallace on March 19th, 1949 in Independence, MO. They continued on their journey of life together for over 64 years. They had two children, Dennis and Denise. During those years Hazel occupied many professions and hobbies, such as, restaurant owner, bridal store owner, real estate agent and enjoyed singing and painting. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, her husband and their son.
Hazel is survived by her Daughter Denise Lee Fregosa and husband Steve of Blue Springs MO; Four grandchildren, Kyle, Amy, Brad, and Jennifer; and seven great-granddaughters, Kameryn, Ella, Sophia, Ryann, Brooklyn, Avery and Mia.
Visitation will be held 8:30 a.m., to 9:00 a.m., Friday May 12th, 2017, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. 816-229-3276. Funeral service will start at 9:00 a.m., at the chapel. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
