Daniel Michael Wehner, 64, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO died January 31, 2017, at the NorthCare Hospice House. He was born April 8, 1952 in Dayton, OH to Richard and Lillian (Ostrowski) Wehner.
Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam era. He spent the majority of his working years as a project manager for airline systems. Daniel was a member of Hope Fellowship Church, where he formerly served as a Deacon, taught Sunday School and was an Awana leader.
Survivors include his parents; wife, Norma (Sigler) Wehner, of the couple’s home in Kansas City, MO; three sons, Joshua Wehner (Elizabeth), Matt Wehner (Jennifer) and Zach Wehner (Mary); a brother, Thomas Wehner (Barbara Lange); and two grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 6, at the Hope Fellowship Church, 8350 N. Conant Ave., Kansas City, MO 64152. The family will also receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the service at the church. A committal service with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
