Sarah Lucille Glossip, 96, of Gladstone, MO went to her heavenly home. The family said their final farewell to Lucille on May 1, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice House. Lucille was born September 15, 1919 in Cameron, MO to Frank and Catherine (Murray) Eckhart. Lucille graduated from Cameron High School and lived most of her life in Kansas City.
She was very devoted to both her family and her Lord. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lucille was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed following the Kansas City Royals. She was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lindley Glossip; a son, Larry Glossip; a daughter, Vincie Jo Glossip Shimp; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Frank Glossip and Vince Glossip; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchild; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 N.E. Shady Lane Dr. Kansas City, MO, with Rev. Joseph Totton presiding. A committal service and burial will follow at Resurrection North Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Meyers Northland Chapel, 401 Main St., Parkville, MO where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities or Royals Charities and may be left in care of the funeral home.
