Robert E. Littrell, 92, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Kansas City, MO. Bob was born August 28, 1923 in Wheeling, MO to Ernest and Ruby (Seigrist) Littrell. He graduated from Wheeling High School in 1941 and, and Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in both English and History. Lynn served his country in the United States Army, where he was a member of the Screaming Eagle 101st Airborne, completing two tours during the Vietnam Era. He attended Berea College in Kentucky and worked as an Operations Manager for ADT Security Systems before retiring in December of 2013. Lynn was an avid collector of many various items, most recently, postage stamps. He enjoyed fishing and some of his fondest memories were his years as the leader of Elliot’s Cub Scout Troupe #271. Barbara Karr (formerly of Kansas City and Blue Springs,) died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 after suffering a stroke. Barbara was the wife of Jack L. Karr. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage in November of last year.
Barbara was born September 4, 1939 in Wyandotte County, KS. She was the oldest daughter of Ed and Naomi Bellman. [Read more…]
Frances “Pauline” Gibler, 90, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 1, 2016, at the Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. She was born August 10, 1925 in Grundy County, MO to Lloyd E. and Hortense H. (Shields) Ratliff.
Pauline graduated from Spickard High School and spent the majority of her working years at Western Electric, where she retired in 1983. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling. Pauline was very involved with her family history and studied genealogy for over 60 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. [Read more…]
