Lenora Robbins, 64, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Blue Springs, MO. She was born July 19, 1950 in Atchison, KS to Walter and Lenora (Garrison) Smith. On June 20, 1976 she was united in marriage to Tom Robbins and he survives at the home. She received her Master’s Degree in Science and Education plus additional courses in Curriculum Development working towards a PHD at the University of Central Missouri, and was a high school teacher at Paseo High School. Lenora was a lifelong learner and encouraged her students to be also. She was program director for the Atchison Kansas Chamber of Commerce. Lenora was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church. She loved to read, travel, mentor young teachers, and Ford Mustangs. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John Miller, Sr. Lenora is remembered for her giving and loving nature to all.
In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by her sons, Michael Robbins and wife Katherine of Plano, TX, and Dr. Timothy Robbins of Portland, ME; brother, Delbert Miller and wife Jo of Independence, MO; sisters, Jerre Broadway of Gainesville, FL, and Ginny Hosman and husband Bob of Blue Springs, MO; many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 NW R D Mize Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services for Lenora will be 10:00 am, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Timothy Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Rich Steensma. Burial will be at Lobb Cemetery, Independence, MO.
