Kenneth Dean Hukriede, 58, of Independence, MO passed away November 27, 2014 in Independence, MO. He was born August 13, 1956 in Great Bend, KS to Carl and Glenda (Rudd) Hukriede. Kenny graduated from Clinton High School and spent the majority of his working years as an automotive parts salesman.
He had a zest for life and loved being in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed scuba diving.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Pinon-Hukriede of the couple’s home in Independence; son, David Hukriede and wife Jodi of Independence, MO; daughter, Michelle Gray and husband Douglas of Warrensburg, MO; two step-sons, Alejandro Pinon of Independence, MO and Cristobal Pinon of Kansas City, MO; mother, Glenda Hukriede of Clinton, MO; sister, Glenna Mason of Clinton, MO; two brothers, Larry Hukriede of Cape Coral, FL and Charles Hukriede of Okeechobee, FL; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Kenny’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Leukemia Society and may be left in care of the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W.
