Thomas Arlin Skinner, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Vitas Hospice in Kansas City, MO. Visitation for Thomas will be 5 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Victorious Tabernacle, 3200 Donnelly St., Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the church with burial at 3:30 pm at St. Frances Cemetery in St. Paul, KS. Thomas was born June 6, 1934 in Gore, OK to John and Esther (Griffin) Skinner. He was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Beller who preceded him in death. He retired as a member of the United Auto Worker at the General Motors Leads Assembly Plant after 35 years. Thomas was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. In addition to his wife, Margaret, he was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Thomas is survived by his children; daughters, Sharon Cook and husband Paul of Kansas City, Deborah McLeod and husband John of Kansas City, MO; son, Thomas A. Skinner, Jr. and wife Patty of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Rebecca E. Skinner of St. Louis, MO, Scott McLeod of Overland Park, KS, Justin P. Cook and wife Angela of Kansas City, MO, Douglas M. Cook and wife Ericka of Independence, MO; great grandchildren, Austin P. Cook, Emery Ellis Cook, Attikus M. Cook, Jacob McLeod, Bethany McLeod, Jordan McLeod, Christian McLeod, Cameron McLeod; Step grandchildren, Anthony and Jamie.
