Eva Lee Duncan, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Payton Place Care Home in Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Glenwood Park Methodist 10000 E. 23rd St. South Independence, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Eva was born March 24, 1928 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Roy D. and Eithel (Thomas) Rudd. On December 1, 1946 she married Ramon D. Duncan who survives of the home. She was a member of the Glenwood Park United Methodist Church where she enjoyed participating in all the church functions, the UMC Womens Club, and going to the Palmer Senior Citizens for activity’s. She retired from the Independence School District as a secretary for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son in law Bob Schenck.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Linda Schenck of Gladstone, MO, son Dale Duncan and wife Laura of Blue Springs, MO, grandchildren Scott Smiley and wife Lori, LeAnn Cruce and husband Scott, Stacy Schenck, Nicole Snider, Natalie Duncan, Natasha Thompson and husband Shawn, step-grandchildren Courtney, Whitney and Brittney Tapp, great-grandchildren Landon and Kellen Cruce, Austin, Blake and Carson Smiley.
