Zachary Dixon Moyer, 23, of Parkville, MO passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2012 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital. He was born May 15, 1989 in Kansas City, MO to Stanley Allen and Karen Sue (Oxley) Moyer, Jr. He graduated from Park Hill South High School in 2007, where he lettered in baseball and medaled in cross country. Following high school, he was offered several scholarships to play baseball at area colleges. Zack’s competitive nature became evident during his youth, when he spent fifteen years on the ball diamond with his father and fellow teammates. Zack strived for excellence in everything he did and currently had goals of becoming a successful businessman. Zack was a beautiful person both inside and out. The love he had for his family and friends was evident on a daily basis. He valued friendships, loved being a brother and especially an uncle, talking baseball with his dad (Stan is a Red Sox fan and Zack loved the Yankee’s) and the relationship he had with his mother was so much more than a normal mother-son relationship, it was something very special. Zack was a great friend to all and only saw the good in people. He had a passion for music and became inspired by music of all kinds. His love for God was strong, as he had several spiritual scriptures in his tattoo artistry. Zack had a flare for fashion and was always well dressed. A few of his other passions were collecting limited edition Michael Jordan tennis shoes and spending time with his puppy dog, CoCo Chanel.
He was preceded in death by his best friend, Eric Luna; maternal grandparents, Ray and Earlene (Trent) Oxley; and paternal grandmother, Mary Lou (Lana) Moyer.
