Gary Lee Carnahan, 69, a resident of Napoleon, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, MO. Gary was born May 26, 1943 to Eunice (Nations) and Ethan Carnahan in Windsor, MO.
Gary worked as a carpet layer and was a member of the Resilient Floor and Decorative Covering Workers Local Union 1179. He was a member of Buckner United Methodist Church in Buckner, MO. Gary spent his retirement years “doing whatever I want” which included hunting, fishing, reading about history, watching western movies and traveling with his wife Clydith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Parks; and sister, Frances Neuman. Gary is survived by his wife, Clydith (Noe) Carnahan of the home; two daughters, Robbin Holicek and husband, Matt of Pearland, TX and Chressa Carnahan of Houston, TX; sons, Heith Carnahan of Blue Springs, MO and Neil Carnahan and wife Suener of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Larry Carnahan (Gina) of Oak Grove, MO, J.D. Parks (Connie) of Montreal, MO, and Chester Parks of Mack’s Creek, MO; sisters, Sandra Kincaid of Excelsior Springs, MO, Kim Carnahan (Sandi) of Independence, MO, and Cheri (Richard) Hicks of Mack’s Creek, MO; one grandson, Tristan Bowman of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2nd, 2012 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main, Blue Springs, MO 64015. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3rd, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
